By North Wind
What is Ginger Tea?
Ginger Tea is simply a tea made out of the ginger root. It is made by peeling and boiling the ginger and drinking the liquid that results from it. It is also commercially sold in sachets filled with a powdered version where you simply add hot water. If you like the taste of ginger, then you will like Ginger Tea. For others, Ginger Tea is an acquired taste. But acquired or not, there is no denying the benefits it provides.
Everyone has either used ginger for cooking at some point, or eaten ginger. You may not have even known it was in your food. It is used often in Asian dishes and it actually helps to tenderize meat.Ginger tea is another way of consuming this root. Something that is not only enjoyed by many, but has medicinal value as well.
Do you suffer from nausea? This is unfortunately a common ailment for some. They have to live with it every day-this feeling of uneasiness which causes some to sometimes forsake meals. A cup of Ginger Tea every morning will set your stomach right. You will not suffer from nausea again!
Stuffy nose? One steaming cup of Ginger Tea will act as a natural decongestant and you will be able to breathe better than any person you have seen in a cold medicine advertisement!
Ginger Tea also helps to calm a cough. If you have a cough that hurts and is persistent and you drink a cup of this natural brew, it will soothe that tickle in your throat and will calm you considerably. You will literally breathe a sigh of relief.
One other thing Ginger Tea does which may seem small but is greatly significant - it relaxes! Ah after a long hard day,a good cup of Ginger Tea will set you right, will settle your frazzled nerves, and will prepare you for a good night's rest.
There is just one drawback to this amazing concoction... Once you get accustomed to having it in your life, you will never want to live without it!
